Objective

Choose a design conference and redesign visual materials to accompany it. The concept will guide the choices of color and type and influence the aesthetic of the grid. Every design decision should rely on the concept for direction.

Approach

The new design features a combination of serif and sans-serif typefaces to express the word TypeCon in different languages (Hindi, Chinese, Arabic, and Japanese), emphasizing the concept of the conference. The purpose of TypeCon is to explore the realms of typography and type design, printing and letterpress, calligraphy, book arts, publishing, and type technologies, including web fonts.
